Resignation letter is considered as a good bye note in any work relationship. You must be clear and concise, and maintain the courtesy as this could be the last time you are writing to your employer. You must start the letter showing gratitude towards your boss and your organization. The resignation letter will also be a part of your personal file and thus must contain a valid reason for taking this action. There may be positive reasons like the golden hand shake, and moving on for a better position; however things like embezzlement or breaking the rules of the organization also may be the reason for this.
Even in a serious nature of offense, the employer should always be polite, giving someone positive feel would not cost you much until there is something really serious. A recent survey has shown that over 75% people be in touch with their formal colleagues, and do think at least once to go back and rejoin the same firm. Even if you have left the organization, it does not mean that you not communicate with the people working there. Try to be sweet, conducive and positive without letting the resignation or termination affect the bond between you and your employer.
If there is a termination from the services, there is a need to give the clear reason for this action. These days’ employees expect a long lifetime employment. This letter must also have the date after which the person you do not require a person to work for your organization. After this there must be a formal acknowledgment from the employee with relieving letter. Even if a person leaves the organization immediately, without serving the notice period, you must still maintain good communication with him/her, at least till you get a good replacement of this person.
