Installations Specialist

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced sales representative to drive revenue growth in our K-12 market. Working with a small team of talented sales and technical personnel, you will have the opportunity to build on the team's successes and make a major contribution to the company's aggressive growth and revenue generation goals. You will have primary responsibility for meeting quota by driving all aspects of the sales cycle including qualification, presentations, demonstrations, consulting, contract negotiations, and closing. The position includes substantial travel to customer locations throughout North America to present products and close sales. We offer competitive compensation and benefits. Though our headquarters is in New Orleans, LA, relocation is not necessarily required as our customer base is throughout North America.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7+ years experience selling product/professional services in the $300,000 to $1 Million range
  • Previous successful experience in long sales cycles
  • A proven track record meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Previous sales experience with software is a significant plus
  • Previous experience selling products/solutions into school administrations is a significant plus
  • Must be resourceful, independent, focused, and well-organized
  • Goal oriented, self-motivated.
  • Able to work independently, but within a team environment.
  • Confident, competitive, thorough and tenacious attitude.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • College degree preferred
  • Job responsibilities include:
  • Manage the entire sales process from incoming lead to close
  • Set meetings with administrators, refine sales presentations, and demonstrate the I CAN Learn® Classroom
  • Nurture customer relationships and close large-scale sales deals
  • Set and meet competitive sales goals
  • Represent I CAN Learn® Education Systems at conferences and industry trade shows
  • Travel, both within immediate geographic region and nationally, will be required
  • Systems Specialist

    Location:New Orleans, LA
    Position Summary:
    The System Specialist maintains a wide area of expertise to integrate new techniques and new technology for use both within the Installations and Technical Services department and in I CAN Learn® classrooms. The System Specialist is responsible for researching and implementing much of the configuration used in the field. The System Specialist demonstrates expertise in a variety of current concepts, practices, and procedures to include: network administration, infrastructure, deployment, system integration, customer service and relations.

    Qualifications:
  • MCSE 2003 and CCNA certifications required. Bachelor's Degree preferred; degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is a plus.

  • Design, build and support server systems and supporting software directly related to I CAN Learn® classrooms
  • Meet with customers to evaluate, recommend, and install custom ICL solutions product
  • Research and develop software solutions for both office and field use
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to current and future systems to meet ICL needs
  • Install new classrooms, software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and installs patches and resolves software related problems
  • Troubleshoot, review, and evaluate ICL systems and recommends improvements
  • Travel as necessary to fulfill job duties

    Position Summary:
    The Installations Specialist serves as project coordinator for new and upgraded I CAN Learn® classroom installations. He meets with school and district officials and is expected to use independent judgment in order to determine the best location and layout for each proposed classroom. The Installations Specialist deals directly with vendors, contractors, JRL employees, and district employees to manage the installation process through completion.

    Qualifications:
  • Project management experience is required. A bachelor's degree as well as electrical and building construction knowledge is preferred. Must possess the ability to use independent judgment and foster a team environment. Proficient in MS Visio is a plus.

    1. Contact
  • Contact each teacher once per week by phone, e-mail, or personal visitation. One personal visitation is required per month, but more frequent visits may be required for clients with higher needs.
  • Contact principals at least once per month via phone, e-mail, or personal visitation. More frequent visitations may be required for areas with higher needs.
  • Obtain teacher feedback about the product, both formally and informally.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate records containing specifics about all customer transactions and discussions.
  • 2. Functionality
  • Verify functionality of classroom equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware and software problems.
  • Ensure that all problems with the classroom are reported to the helpdesk.
  • Attempt to resolve all helpdesk tickets assigned.
  • Monitor help desk tickets through resolution.
  • Follow up on all outstanding issues pertaining to assigned classrooms.
  • Turn in remote reporting files to the regional manager every week until the task is automated.
  • Travel, as needed, to perform any of these duties at remote locations.
  • During the summer break, perform inventory checks.
  • During the summer break, collect databases.
  • During the summer break, prepare classrooms for their first day of class of the upcoming school year.
  • During the summer break, update the classrooms.
  • 3. Proficiency

  • Gather classroom data for analysis from the Classroom Explorer as well as from personal observations.
  • Document areas of interest and concern.
  • Determine and propose solutions for areas of concern.
  • Encourage and disseminate areas of interest and success.
  • Perform statistical analyses on I CAN Learn students and non-I CAN Learn student scores for all standardized testing during the school year.
  • Turn in standardized test scores for all schools supported.
  • Install, maintain, and monitor EPGY accounts for students in assigned schools.
  • 5. Consultation
  • Provide consultation to all clients not fully satisfied with product.
  • Keep administrators posted on the status of the classroom.
